WAssup is a grassroots Western Australian initiative turning 10-cent containers, donations and goodwill into practical help.
Our current focus is the WAssup 108 Speakers Program — placing portable speaker-and-microphone kits where young people can connect, create and be heard.
The WAssup 108 Speakers Program
108 speakers. 108 locations. One loud idea.
The WAssup 108 Speakers Program will place 108 JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2 Plus speakers, each with two wireless microphones, with carefully selected youth and community organisations.
From remote communities to our cities, these kits can support youth drop-ins, workshops on Country, cultural activities, karaoke nights, performances, school-holiday programs and community events.
The test is simple: every speaker must be used, cared for and shared — not left sitting in a cupboard.

The proof of concept
Three communities proved the idea.
Before the WAssup 108 Speakers Program officially began, three JBL speaker-and-microphone kits were delivered to community organisations.

These three earlier donations proved the concept: put useful equipment in the hands of organisations already doing the work, and it gets used.
They are proudly recognised as the inspiration for the program, but they are not counted in the official 108 tally.
Now the 108 begins.
Practical, portable and ready to use
Why a speaker?
Music creates energy, connection and belonging. A microphone gives young people the chance to speak, perform, lead and be heard.
One portable kit can be used across dozens of activities. It can become the soundtrack for a youth drop-in, the microphone at a workshop, the music at a community celebration or the equipment that helps a young performer find their confidence.
It is practical, portable and ready to use.
Because every young person deserves to be heard.
Ready and waiting
Communities are already saying yes.
We now have 37 confirmed locations, represented by Aboriginal corporations, community resource centres, youth services, schools and grassroots organisations.
They stretch from the Kimberley and Pilbara to the Goldfields, Wheatbelt, Great Southern, South West and metropolitan Perth.
The organisations are ready. The young people are waiting. Now we need to fund the speakers.

Every container donated through the WAssup code helps fund the 108 Speakers Program.
Collect them at home. Start a workplace collection. Ask your school, club, café or community group to get involved. Ten cents may feel small, but thousands of containers can put music and microphones into another community.

WAssup Community Services was founded by Scott Bibby with a simple belief: you do not need to be a large organisation to do something useful.
We listen, connect people and resources, and support practical ideas communities can genuinely use.
Community service first, ego last. One useful act at a time.
WAssup Community Services is currently operated by Scott Bibby under ABN 49 495 986 762. WAssup is not yet a registered charity, so donations are not currently tax deductible.
Program income, purchases and deliveries are recorded, with public updates showing what has been raised and where each speaker goes.
