Help bring speakers, microphones and music access to remote communities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

WAssup 108 Speakers for Remote Communities is built on practical grassroots support. Every container, donation, useful item, contact, share, business connection and conversation can help move the project closer to placing 108 speakers into 108 communities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project is focused on getting portable speakers and microphones into remote, regional and under-resourced communities where music, voice, storytelling, youth expression, school events, cultural gatherings and community connection matter.<\/p>\n

Donate Containers for Change<\/h2>\n

One of the easiest ways to support the project is by donating eligible 10c containers through Containers for Change<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You can quote this code at any Containers for Change refund point in Western Australia and ask for the refund to be donated to WAssup.<\/p>\n

Eligible containers may include many drink cans, plastic bottles, glass bottles, liquid paperboard cartons and other approved 10c containers.<\/p>\n

Every eligible container helps build the speaker fund.<\/p>\n

Local Container Drop-Off<\/h2>\n

For local Ellenbrook supporters, WAssup also has a green recycling bin available in the driveway at:<\/p>\n

Eligible 10c containers can be placed in the bin to help support the project.<\/p>\n

Please only place eligible drink containers in the bin where possible, and avoid general rubbish, food waste or broken glass.<\/p>\n

Local Collection Bags<\/h2>\n

For local residents in Ellenbrook and surrounding areas<\/strong>, WAssup may be able to provide hessian bags for collecting eligible 10c containers.<\/p>\n

These bags can be used at home, at small gatherings, workplaces, local groups, clubs or community events to collect cans and bottles for the project.<\/p>\n

Once a bag is full, please contact WAssup to arrange return, collection or drop-off where practical.<\/p>\n

This helps make it easier for local supporters to collect containers over time without needing to visit a refund point themselves.<\/p>\n

Donate Funds<\/h2>\n

Financial donations help WAssup purchase speakers, microphones, accessories, freight and replacement parts where needed.<\/p>\n

The current focus speaker is the JBL PartyBox On-The-Go 2<\/strong>, with an estimated RRP of $499 per speaker<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At that price, each funded speaker becomes a practical community asset that can support music, singing, storytelling, announcements, youth programs, cultural activities, school events and community gatherings.<\/p>\n

How Speakers Will Be Nominated<\/h2>\n

Speakers will be nominated and purchased as funds become available.<\/p>\n

This means the project may move forward one speaker at a time<\/strong>, depending on donations, Containers for Change refunds, available discounts, freight costs and suitable community placements.<\/p>\n

WAssup may identify potential recipient communities, schools, youth spaces or organisations, but final speaker placements will depend on:<\/p>\n
